We have a range of PPS (Polyphenylene Sulphide) Socket Cap Head screws available.
All our PPS socket cap head screws are compliant to the DIN912 specification. The standard drive type available for these screws is 6 point hexagonal drive through the use of a hex key (the drive sizes can be found on the dimensions table above).
Why use PPS?
Our PPS screws are reinforced with 40% glass fibre, this enables tensile strengths that are similar to our PEEK GF30 (30% glass-fibre reinforced) range, however with a much larger range of sizes and with reduced cost.
PPS has characteristics that are positioned perfectly between our RENY and PEEK range.
Applications
PPS is suitable for applications that require a highly capable polymer fastener in terms of heat and chemical resistance while also requiring a high tensile strength.
